5. AI-assisted features

Becoming Chapter may use artificial intelligence to generate reflections, summaries, suggestions, questions, plans and other career-development guidance.

When you use an AI-assisted feature, relevant information you provide may be transmitted to an external AI service provider to generate the requested response.

Depending on the feature, this information may include your prompts, selected career-development responses and other relevant context.

We aim to limit the information shared with AI providers to what is reasonably necessary to provide the requested functionality.

AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or unsuitable for your circumstances.

Becoming Chapter uses Stripe to process payments for Becoming+ subscriptions and paid mentoring services.

Payment processing

When you make a payment or save a payment method, your card details are collected and processed securely by Stripe.

Becoming Chapter does not collect or store your full payment card number or card security code.

We may receive limited payment information from Stripe, including customer references, payment method references, subscription references, transaction amounts, payment dates and payment status.

We use this information to administer memberships, facilitate mentoring payments, maintain financial records and respond to payment enquiries.

Saved payment methods

When you accept a paid mentoring quotation, Stripe may securely save your payment method for the agreed future charge.

Payment is generally initiated after the mentoring service has been delivered and confirmed, or after the disclosed seven-day confirmation period expires without an issue being reported.

Eligible saved payment methods may be managed through Account → Manage Billing, subject to the functionality available through Stripe.

Mentor verification and payouts

Mentors offering paid services must complete Stripe Connect onboarding.

Stripe may collect identity verification information, business details, tax information and banking information to verify mentors and facilitate payouts.

Becoming Chapter receives relevant Stripe account references, verification status and payout-related information.

We do not ordinarily receive or store full bank account details or identity documents collected directly by Stripe.

Refunds, disputes and chargebacks

If a payment is refunded, disputed or reversed, Becoming Chapter and Stripe may process relevant transaction records and supporting information to investigate and resolve the matter.

Information may be shared with Stripe, payment providers, financial institutions or other parties where reasonably necessary and lawful.
